First snow in the winter of 2007

I got up early this morning to catch the early shuttle bus to Beijing. We went to bed early last night so that we could get up early this morning. It was 5 when i was woken up by my wife. It was a bit late. Usually i get up at 4:20 on Monday morning so that i can avoid the traffic jam when i get to Beijing. When we went out of the warm home into outside i felt something icy fall onto my face. It was snowing. We hurried to the bus station to get on the bus. The snow was falling harder and harder as the bus heading towads Beijing. There was not much traffic in the streets in Beijing though it was a bit late today. When i got to the center it was 9:20 am. The snow went on and it lasted till the afternoon. The trees and buildings were covered with snow. It was a wonderfil sight.

I like the snow, likes season which snows, everywhere all is the white, is extremely attractive. My lovable daughter morning gets out of bed sees the snow, tells me that is the sugar

Children like to play with snow. They make snowman and go skiing if snow is heavy enough.

It is a cold morning after the snow

I got up at 7:30 this morning. After washing and shaving i took my morning walk as usual. However it was much colder today because of the heavy snow yesterday. Though the snow hung on the trees has melted some is still left on the ground and it was fun to walk on the frozen snow. Some melted snow has turned into ice. So the street is a bit slippery. It is better to be careful on the way to work this morning.

There is not much snow in either Tianjin or Beijing in winter these years. It used to snow much in the past. I still remember many years ago when i was at college it snowed heavily one winter and the snow didn't melt competely until the next spring. It is fun to for children to play with snow or make snowman when it snows.
