Chen, a resident（居民） of Fuzhou, Fujian province, has a hen that crows（啼鸣） like a cock every morning.The hen had laid eggs until about a month ago, when it started crowing like a rooster.
Zhang Hongxin, an agricultural expert, described（描述） the phenomenon（现象） as a s e x reversal（转变）. Genes（基因）, hormones（荷尔蒙） and food can lead some animals to change their s e x.
Zhang said it would be ok to eat such a bird.
