今天日全食Solar Eclipse Friday to Fascinate Millions

A total eclipse(日全食) of the sun Friday should fascinate(使着迷) millions of lucky skywatchers in Greenland（格陵兰）, Siberia（西伯利亚）, Mongolia（蒙古） and China.

If the weather cooperates, people along a narrow path who venture out and look up will see stars during the day as the sun is gradually devoured（吞吃） and ultimately（最终）blotted（遮住） out by the moon.

新疆哈密为观测日全食最佳地区

新华网北京7月31日电(记者吴晶晶)8月1日中国部分地区将出现本世纪首次日全食。中国科学院国家天文台有关专家指出，中国的新疆哈密和甘肃酒泉地区是观测此次日食的最好地区。

专家说，此次中心食带将于北京时间8月1日18时59左右分经过阿尔泰山进入中国境内，随后相继经过哈密、酒泉、西安等地。北京时间19时21分，日食带离开地球，日全食结束。
