The Friday after the American holiday of Thanksgiving is the largest shopping day of the year in the United States. It is often called Black Friday. Many stores opened often very early even at midnight to draw people to their stores.Black Friday, as the first shopping day after Thanksgiving, serves as the unofficial beginning of the Christmas season. Thanksgiving takes place on the fourth Thursday of November in the United States.
