What extreme weather! It was 30 degrees a week ago but it snowed early this morning. To be exact it was sleet, rain mixed with snow.What is Sleet?
Sleet is very wet snow, or a mixture of rain and snow, usually developing when temperatures are just above freezing point.
Extreme weather occurs quite often these years. It had icy rain last spring in the south part of China, which stranded many passengers who were going home for Chinese New Year.
Yesterday was World Meteorological Day. The theme of this year’s World Meteorological Day is \"Weather, climate and the air we breathe\". The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) is calling attention to the interaction between weather patterns, climate and air quality. Gases and particles emitted to the atmosphere affect people’s health, as well as weather and climate.
