What is lost in the rain.雨中失去的记忆
The rain finally came last night after several hot muggy days. Even in my sleep I could hear the sound made by the raindrops beating on the roofs of the bicycle shed below our apartment building. My wife was planned to go to Dalian for a trip today. So she got up early to prepare for the journey. She even prepared some ready-to-make dishes for me to cook for lunch. At about 5:30 the car picked her up and she left home.After breakfast I took out raincoat and got ready to go to work. Walking or riding in the rain seemed far away in the past now. Cars and buses came and went to pick up people to go to work. Most of them didn’t need to wear raincoat now. An umbrella was just enough to prevent them from rain on the way from doorway to the car. What a great change! Cars were only for high ranking officials in the past but now almost every family owns a car whether they are rich or poor. Rich people have luxury cars while less-rich people buy low range cars. They don’t need to worry to be caught in the rain. Raincoat is just a memory for many people nowadays. Perhaps some day it can only be found in museums because people can drive cars, take buses or taxis to go to work on rainy days. They don’t need it any more but the experience and memory of walking or riding in the rain will become luxurious too. Young kids will not have the chance to wear raincoat and enjoy the fun of the rain. It is still raining outside now. The rain lasts longer hours today. It is much cooler now.The weather forcast says it will rain again tonight and tomorrow will be clear and sunny. It has rained a lot in the past weeks. It was raining again early this morning. It was so hot and muggy yesterday afternoon and last night. After the rain it feels much cooler now. It seems to me thatyou have lots of free time, sometimes I wonder that what your occupation is. Hope you enjoy the rain. i do have some free time at work now and then but most often i am kept busy. I work in a company, doing foreign trade. When i am free i like to read English articles and write something in English to practise my language skills.
Summer rain can cool the hot muggy weather and people feel comfortable in cool weather after the rain in hot summer. That's why i like the summer rain. You should buy a car ,Dean!

You are right. I really need to buy a car soon. When i was riding my bike to work today the shaft(轴) of the front wheel was broken. It suggests that i should cast the old bike and buy a car. When i have a car i will have no chance to enjoy the fun riding in the rain and i will be a bit farther away from nature. Modern facilities provide people with more convenience and they also prevent people from getting closer to the natural world.
