The past decades have seen a massive reductions in global mangrove forests, mostly due to the expansion of shrimp虾 farming, coastal shipping and erosion水土流失 caused by development. The problem is that we need mangroves now, more than ever.

There are some mangrove forests in Hainan Island. Hainan’s 4A-level Mangrove Wetland Park in Chengmai County spans 2,200 acres of mangrove forest, offering a variety of animal habitats and ecosystems to create an environmentally conscious, exciting experience for visitors.
