The past 12 months have been very good for some of the wealthiest people in China.There are now 106 billionaires in the country. Last year, there were only 15.
Most of China's billionaires made their money in construction(建筑) and manufacturing(制造). Got Money? 你有钱吗?
The United States has the most billionaires (more than 250). So what country is second? Researcher Rupert Hoogewerf says it's China, which went from 15 billionaires last year to 108 now. 木钱! The gap between the rich and the poor in the United States has grown in the past year.
According to a report in The Wall Street Journal, the wealthiest 1 percent of Americans earned 21.2 percent of the country's wealth.
The bottom 50 percent, on the other hand, earn just 12.8 percent of the country's overall(总的) wealth.

又当财富排行榜发榜之季，在中国这个发展变化最快的年代，猜测财富榜单上的人物，真的有点象猜赛马一样，前些年IT英雄遍地开花，风水轮流转，后来，房地产大佬横空出世，而今年更加象一部励志小说，首富变成了东北一个做垃圾纸生意的女人。
要知道，在今天的中国，赚钱是最激动人心的字眼。你丢掉田里的锄头，直接跑到城里去，然后花三千块钱（或者一分钱不花）开一家房地产中介公司，也许一单你就能赚个十万八万。
但是在过去半个世纪，富人这个极端物种是被灭绝了的，每个人都是一样的一亩三分田，你能想象那些挥金如土，坐拥银山的家伙么？在我30年的成长中，我从来不知道富人也有两个鼻孔。
那么到底富人是哪类物种呢？在我们的成长记忆中，它就象过去传说的麒麟一样，从没有人亲眼见过，但膜拜得厉害，它被雕刻在各个高贵的地方。
富人何为？实际上，这个问题在上世纪的美国也被反复提出过，对此，海明威的解释是：Rich people are poor people with money，他的话翻译过来就是——富人就是有钱的穷人。
很喜欢海明威！他的意思是，尤其是我们这个时代，所谓富人都是虚构出来的。我们这个时代只进化了一个物种——那就是穷人，区别只是有的穷人有钱，有的穷人没有那么多钱。
