Experts have urged the government to spend more money out of its $586-billion economic stimulus(刺激) package on health, housing, social insurance and education sectors to increase domestic demand.
China unveiled(公布) its massive stimulus plan on Nov 9 to check the downward(向下) trend of the economy. Currently, a bulk(批) of the $586-billion package is being focused on infrastructural(基础设施) development.
\"It would be good (for China) to spend more on education, health, and social protection,\" said David Dollar, World Bank country chief for China. \"These expenditures would stimulate the economy besides making Chinese families feel more secure.\" |
