A Crisp Autumn Day 秋高气爽

It is clear crisp morning. The sun shines brightly and the air is fresh after the rain the day before. The Autumn breeze is a bit chilly but the bright sunlight warms us well especially  when we are standing outside in the sun. I like such weather which is not so hot as that of summer nor so cold as that of winter. Autumn is a good season for sightseeing. That's why many people choose this time to go around. In fact I went to climb the Great wall and visited the Botanical Garden with my family a few days ago. Autumn is also harvest season. Farmers gather their crops and enjoy the good harvest of the year. They celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival at this time of the year, too.

April is my favorite time of the year, mainly because of the spring flower blooms. The brilliant natural color in spring is defined by the blooming flowers and is vibrant with the promise of life. But unlike April, the fall palette of colors adds a bittersweet touch to this sense of renewed life. The fall's natural color, provided by tree leaves turning red or yellow, is certainly gorgeous. Like all good things, autumn in the north comes and goes much too quickly. Following mid-October, the weather quickly begins to turn cold, telling us that winter is just around the corner.
