Today is the fifth anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. US President George W. Bush and first lady Laura Bush lay a wreath into a reflecting pool at the site of the World Trade Center in New York September 10, 2006, during a ceremony to commemorate the fifth anniversary.
Thousands of U.S. flags with tags bearing the names and home towns of those who died on Sept. 11, 2001, blanket the lawn in front of Halifax Middle-Senior High School in Halifax, Pa., Sunday, Sept. 10, 2006. The flags are part of the ''9/11: Never Forget Project.'' This flag is to remember American Airlines Flight 11 that crashed into the World Trade Center.
