The openings of the slipring compartment (for cooling air inlet and outlet) shall be covered. A desiccant
has to be placed in the slipring compartment and in the power terminal box(es) for absorption of humidity
in order to prevent corrosion. The desiccant has to be checked regularly and renewed if necessary.
The drive end shaft gap has to be provided with a grease seal of antifriction bearing grease. The shaft is
not allowed to be rotated, as otherwise this grease seal is destroyed.
(These special provision can be carried out by the supplier ex works as a special equipment if explicitely
ordered by the customer.)
During commissioning:
The covers of the air openings and the desiccants and the grease seal have to be removed. Manual
regreasing shall be carried out with 4 times of the grease quantity as required for periodical regreasing.
