Temperature drops a lot气温骤然下降

The weather forecast said the temperature would drop a lot with strong wind today. It is true that the strong wind is blowing very hard and it feels so cold outside though it is a sunny day today. Dust is blown up into the sky and sometimes the dirt comes into our eyes by the strong wind. Trees are swinging in the wind and i can see no leaves left on them. However,the river is not frozen yet. Perhaps it is not cold enough. I guess it will be frozen soon if the temperature remains low like this for a few days. When the ice is thick enough people can go skating on the ice. Skating is a popular sport in the north in winter. Skiing is another winter sport in winter. But it hasn't snowed yet in our region this winter though in some parts of the northeast China it has snowed several times. It is a lot of fun to play in the snow. Looking forward to the first snow for this winter.

It is still cold today though the wind is not as strong as yesterday. The Central Meteorological Station issued this winter's first orange alert for cold temperatures on Tuesday night

It is Saturday and it is not as cold as yesterday and the sky is still sunny. I can see rivers are frozen with a layer of thin ice.
