Heavy Snow 好大的雪

It snowed for the past two nights. The night before last it began to snow. After dinner we went out for our usual walk. To our surprise, the ground was covered by a thick layer of snow and it snowed heavily. The snowflakes were falling from the sky. We had to return home just after a short walk along the street. The temperature dropped a lot. Fortunately, it was fine yesterday in the daytime and the sunlight melted the snow on the street and people could ride or drive home easily on the roads at noon time. However, when we took a walk after dinner last night, it began to snow again though it was not heavy. When i woke up this morning and looked out of the window. The ground was covered with a new layer of snow. It was really fun to walk in the snow. My wife and i took our morning walk in the snow. The wind was blowing and some snowflakes were falling on our faces and clothes. I saw cars were running very slow in the streets. Some people walked on the sidewalks. It was very slippery with snows on the streets. Does snow in early spring do harm to crops, especially to winter wheat? I hope it will not. We had so many natural disasters last year. Earthquake, ice snow in the south, lingering drought in the north. Wishing the year of Ox will be a happy, healthy and prosperous one.
