LATE SPRING RAIN迟到的春雨

As a Chinese saying goes: The spring rain is as dear as oil. Spring rain is really hard to get here in north China. Serious drought lingers around north China since early spring this year. Wheat fields and other crops have to be irrigated by farmers. They are thirsty for rains but no rain comes by for a long time. Thank God spring rain came at last today though it was a bit late. It had been very cloudy since last night and it started to rain early this morning. My dear spring rain came at last. Though it was only light rain it still helped to quench the thirst of the crops. It also cleaned the polluted air. I could feel the fresh air when I went out just now. The dust in the air has been washed away by spring rain. My good friend--Spring Rain though you came a bit late.

It is raining here again this afternoon. The spring rain will do good to the crops and it will also refresh the dirty air.
